A Weekend Away

Karie and I had an opportunity to head to Seattle for a few days to relax and hit a Seahawks game. I have never been to an NFL game before, so naturally I was quite excited. We went to a quaint Italian place for dinner in the basement of a building just down the street from our hotel. The music and food was great and we had a chance to catch up on all the things we haven't talked about for a while. Afterward we enjoyed a beautiful sunset.

We had a great time at the game...even though the Hawks lost.

Party Time

It's the birthday boy!!!

We had Isaac's first "official" birthday party today. He was quite excited about the blow-toy-whatever thing.

Big time kudos to Karie for slaving away late into the evening (sat night) on not only the monkey cake, but also the wonderful lunch everyone enjoyed so much. You're the best babe!

Who ate the cupcake?

So apparently, with the achievement of reaching the age of 1 comes certain privileges. As you can see, one of the first is being able to eat a chocolate cupcake by yourself. While I may think that mess is about the worst I've ever seen, I'm sure many of you can relate. I don't think the picture quite does justice for the chow job Isaac laid down on the cc. The cheesy half-grin gives you a little bit of an idea how much he enjoyed it. Happy Birthday Isaac!!! God willing there are many more to come.

First Time Out

This is the first time I've actually tried to post something to the blog. Hopefully from here on out I make time to keep things up to date so ya'all can check in from time to time and see how we're doing.

Things are going well, Karie is working two days a week (Mon & Wed) at the same dental office in Liberty Lake as before (now she's half-time). It works out great because her mom can hang out with Isaac in the days when she works. It's great grandma time!

I'm into my third year at Moss Adams loving every minute. The work is challenging and changing constantly-more changes are sure to come with president-elect Obama-and it keeps me on my toes.

Isaac is 1 year old!!! Crazy how time flies! I can't believe how much he has changed. As you can see from the pictures, he's changed quite a bit. He's 'trolling' around the house now, holding on to the walls and other furniture so he can get around. When he's not trying to walk around, he's crawling at hyper-speed. It's hard to believe he can move so fast. Well, that's all for now. We'll be back soon.
